From appointment to return home, we handle the logistics of vet care in Juárez—so you can save and stay in control.
1. Tell Us What Your Pet's Needs
Share your pet’s symptoms, goals (dental cleaning, other surgical procedures, etc.), and any estimate you’ve received in the U.S. This helps us determine whether Border Buddy Pet Care is a good fit for your situation, and whether it makes sense to transport your pet to Juárez for your pet’s needs.
If we believe your pet is better served locally—or that urgent stabilization is needed—we’ll tell you honestly.
2. We Coordinate the Appointment for You
If your pet’s needs are a good fit for services in Juárez, we coordinate an appointment with a trusted, independent veterinarian. We’ll review required records (such as rabies vaccination) and explain what to expect before the visit.

3. We Handle Pickup, Crossing, and Check-in
On appointment day, we coordinate pickup time/location and safely transport your pet to the clinic. We handle bridge crossing logistics, check-in, and communication with staff—so you don’t have to navigate the process. (Safety protocols vary by pet size/needs (crate, harness, monitoring).
Your pet is accompanied by an experienced vet tech.
4. You Stay in Control During the Visit
You can participate in the appointment by phone or FaceTime to hear the veterinarian’s findings, ask questions, and approve any recommended tests or treatment in real time.
If needed, we provide interpretation so nothing is lost in translation—ensuring you fully understand your pet’s condition, treatment options, and costs before anything proceeds.
No procedures are performed without your consent.
5. Payment to the Vet (Simple + Transparent)
You pay the veterinary clinic directly at the time of service.
If you prefer, we can help facilitate payment on your behalf for convenience (an additional service charge applies).
Either way, you’ll always know the expected costs in advance—and nothing proceeds without your approval.
Border Buddy service fees (transport/coordination) are separate from veterinary fees.
6. Return Home With Records + Next Steps
Your pet is returned safely with records, instructions, and any medications.
If additional care is recommended, we’ll explain options and timing so you can make a clear decision—without pressure.
If follow-up visits are needed, transport for the second and third visit is discounted, helping you continue to see overall savings when receiving care in Juárez.
